AQD Group Agreements
✨Confidentiality Please keep others’ names and stories private and confidential, unless given explicit permission to share.
✨Sacred Presencing Please give full awareness & attention to the person speaking, while also taking care of any self-care needs that arise.
✨Spaciousness & Centeredness Pause after a person speaks so you can take in their share and avoid interrupting when possible.
✨Share Your Perspective Use “I” Statements to talk from your own point of view and avoid speaking for others
✨Be gentle with yourself Acknowledge that speaking explicitly about sex and sexuality may bring up feelings and upset. Go slow and allow yourself to be with whatever feelings come up for you.
✨Self-Care You are invited to access comfort and ease through physical sensations in your body. Get up and take care of whatever needs you have as you see fit in a way that avoids disturbing the group as much as possible.
✨Facilitator Redirection It is the role of the facilitator to keep the group focused on the topic that we are on and to manage time, so we may redirect the group from time to time
✨Supporting Others We are here to connect with each other, not alienate each other. Support each other’s stories and experiences.
✨Empowering Your Voice Your voice and your story is important and we want to hear it. Please notice if there is anything you need in order to feel safe and welcome in this space and let us know.
✨Gendering people correctly We agree to strive to know the correct pronouns for each other and use them. If we are corrected for misgendering another, we acknowledge the correction succinctly and move on.
✨Neurodiversity/NeuroEmergence All brains work in different ways. We encourage you to be your authentic selves and remove any “masks” you are wearing to the extent that you feel safe doing so.
✨Nudity You are welcome to wear as many or as few clothes as you desire. Please sit on a towel or piece of your clothing if your genitalia is directly touching any furniture or the floor. All touch exchanges with others during this playshop are intended to be nonsexual and nonerotic.
✨Addressing Injustice If you feel harmed by another (including the facilitator), please either let the person who harmed you or a facilitator know, so that we can facilitate a repair process. To the best of our abilities, we agree to hold the values and attitudes of curiousity, openness, acceptance, and love during this process, and to notice if defensiveness comes up for you. We acknowledge that this is a vulnerable space and agree to lean in to the potential of making mistakes and lean in to repair when our actions harm others. In so doing, we create a safer accountable space.
✨Don't Gotta All activities in this playshop are an invitation and an offering, not a requirement. Please do let us know if you are opting out of any particular activity so that we can facilitate accordingly. There are many ways to participate in an activity: by doing, by watching, by napping, etc. All the ways of participating are valid.
